Our product development strategy is to create safe and effective protein therapeutics by applying our technology to existing, well-understood proteins that would ordinarily be rendered ineffective by the harsh environment of the gastrointestinal tract. By leveraging our novel protein crystallization technology, Altus has the potential to redefine the use of biopharmaceutical proteins for gastrointestinal or metabolic diseases by allowing the oral and parenteral delivery of high value enzyme replacement products. Our products are novel therapies that are designed to be safe, effective and convenient, which may result in enhanced patient compliance. We have a pipeline of products designed to treat several significant unmet medical needs. Altus' lead product, Trizytek™ (porcine-free enzyme) is currently in Phase III trials. We have also completed a Phase II trial for ALTU-238 and initiated a Phase I trial for ALTU-237.
