In 2001, Altus entered into a strategic alliance agreement with Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics, Inc to collaborate on the development of Trizytek™ (porcine-free enzymes) for the treatment of malabsorption due to exocrine pancreatic insufficiency in patients with cystic fibrosis and other indications.
